Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Professor: Ph.D. in relevant discipline with a minimum of 10 research publications and 10 years of teaching/research experience.
  • Associate Professor: Ph.D. with a Master’s degree (55% marks) and 8 years of experience in teaching/research with at least 7 publications.
  • Assistant Professor: Master’s degree with 55% marks and must have cleared NET/SLET/SET conducted by UGC/CSIR. Candidates with a Ph.D. as per UGC Regulations are exempted from NET/SLET/SET.
  • Librarian Posts: Master’s Degree in Library Science/Information Science with relevant experience and Ph.D./NET qualification as per post requirements.

Age Limit

The age of retirement and superannuation will be as per the University Grants Commission (UGC), Government of India, and NCERT norms. Age relaxation for SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and PWD categories is applicable as per Government of India rules.

Salary and Pay Scale

Selected candidates will receive a salary according to the 7th Pay Commission Academic Pay Levels plus applicable allowances.

  • Professor: Academic Level 14 (Entry Pay Rs. 1,44,200/-)
  • Associate Professor / Deputy Librarian: Academic Level 13A (Entry Pay Rs. 1,31,400/-)
  • Assistant Professor / Assistant Librarian: Academic Level 10 (Entry Pay Rs. 57,700/-)

Selection Process

The selection process is strictly based on academic merit and interview performance:

  • Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted based on their Academic Score as specified in UGC Regulations 2018.
  • Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interview.
  • Document Verification: Original documents will be verified at the time of the interview.
  • Final Merit: The final selection will be based solely on the performance in the interview.
