Age Limit
Candidates must meet the following date of birth criteria for eligibility:
- Minimum Age: Born on or after 01 January 2006.
- Maximum Age: Born on or before 01 July 2009.
- Upper Age Limit: Candidates should not exceed 21 years of age on the date of enrolment.
Educational Qualification
For Science Subjects
- Passed Intermediate/10+2/Equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics, and English from a recognised Board with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
- OR Passed Three years Diploma Course in Engineering (Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Automobile/ Computer Science/ Instrumentation/ IT) with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
- OR Passed Two years Vocational Course with non-vocational subjects viz. Physics and Mathematics with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
For Other Than Science Subjects
- Passed Intermediate/10+2/Equivalent Examination in any stream or subjects from recognised Boards with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
- OR Passed two years Vocational Course from recognised Boards with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.

Salary and Allowances
Agniveervayu will receive a monthly package with annual increments as follows:
- 1st Year: Rs. 30,000 (In-hand: Rs. 21,000)
- 2nd Year: Rs. 33,000 (In-hand: Rs. 23,100)
- 3rd Year: Rs. 36,500 (In-hand: Rs. 25,550)
- 4th Year: Rs. 40,000 (In-hand: Rs. 28,000)
- Seva Nidhi Package: Approximately Rs. 10.04 Lakhs after 4 years of service.
- Insurance: Non-contributory Life Insurance cover of Rs. 48 Lakhs.
Selection Process
The recruitment process consists of the following phases:
- Phase-I: Online Written Test (Objective type).
- Phase-II: Document Verification, Physical Fitness Test (PFT), and Adaptability Tests.
- Phase-III: Medical Examination.
- Final Selection: Based on state-wise merit list and medical fitness.
Physical Fitness Standards
- Run: 1.6 Km (Male: 7 mins, Female: 8 mins).
- Male Exercises: 10 Push-ups, 10 Sit-ups, 20 Squats.
- Female Exercises: 10 Sit-ups, 15 Squats.
- Height: Minimum 152 cm.

Important Instructions
- Only unmarried candidates are eligible to apply and must remain unmarried during the four-year tenure.
- Aadhar Card is mandatory for registration (except for candidates from J&K, Ladakh, Assam, and Meghalaya).
