SSB Paramedical Recruitment 2026 Notification Overview
The Office of the Director General, Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, has invited online applications for Group-C, Non-Gazetted (Combatised) Paramedical posts. This recruitment falls under Advertisement No. 524/RC/SSB/Combined Advt./CT to SI (Non-GD)/2025. Candidates selected for these posts are liable to serve anywhere in India or outside the territory of India as per the SSB Act and Rules.

A total of 76 vacancies have been announced across different categories. Ten per cent of the total vacancies are reserved for Ex-Servicemen.

Age Limit and Relaxations
The minimum age for all posts is 18 years, and the maximum age is 27 years. The crucial date for determining the age limit is the closing date of the application.
- SC/ST: 5 years relaxation
- OBC: 3 years relaxation
- Ex-Servicemen: 3 years after deduction of military service
- Central Government Employees: Up to 40 years (UR) or 45 years (SC/ST)
- J&K Domicile (1980-1989): 5 to 10 years relaxation based on category
Educational Qualification and Experience
Candidates must possess the following qualifications as of the closing date of the application:

Application Fee
The application fee is non-refundable and must be paid online via Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, or UPI.
- UR, EWS, and OBC: Rs. 100/-
- SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, and Female Candidates: Exempted (No Fee)
Salary and Allowances
The selected candidates will receive a competitive salary package as per the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC).
- Head Constable Posts: Pay Level-4 (Rs. 25,500 to Rs. 81,100)
- Constable Posts: Pay Level-3 (Rs. 21,700 to Rs. 69,100)
- Additional Benefits: Dearness Allowance, Ration Money Allowance, House Rent Allowance, and other admissible benefits.
Selection Process
The recruitment process consists of multiple stages to ensure the selection of fit and capable candidates:
- Stage I: Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Standard Test (PST) - Running and physical measurements.
- Stage II: Written Examination - Computer Based Test (CBT) with multiple-choice questions. A negative marking of 0.25 will be applicable.
- Stage III: Documentation and Medical Examination - Verification of original certificates followed by Detailed Medical Examination (DME) and Review Medical Examination (RME) if necessary.

Important Instructions
- A candidate is permitted to apply for only one post among the three advertised paramedical categories.
