Educational Qualification
The post-wise eligibility criteria are as follows:
- Sr. Manager & Manager (Ports & Waterways): Master’s Degree in Marine Engineering & Management, Ocean Structures/Engineering, or Structural Engineering.
- Manager (Coastal Modelling): Master’s Degree in Coastal Engineering, Marine Engineering & Management, or Ocean Structures.
- Assistant Manager (Port Planning): Master’s Degree in Transport Engineering, Transport Planning, or Urban Planning.
- Manager (Civil/PPS): Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with certification in Project Planning software like Primavera or MS Project.
- Assistant Manager / DGM / GGM (HR): MBA/PGDBA/PGDBM/PGDM/PGDHRM or equivalent with specialisation in HR, Personnel Management, Industrial Relations, or Labour Welfare.
- DGM (Civil-Marine Structural Expert): Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering AND Post-graduation in Marine Structures, Coastal Engineering, or Ocean Engineering.
Age Limit
The maximum age limit varies from 32 to 53 years depending on the specific post. Age relaxation for SC, ST, OBC (NCL), and PwBD candidates will be applicable as per Government of India rules and RITES guidelines.
Salary & Remuneration
Selected candidates will receive a competitive salary package as per the IDA pay scales. The approximate Annual CTC is mentioned below:

Application Fee
The application fee must be paid online. The category-wise fee structure is as follows:
- General/OBC Candidates: Rs. 600/- plus applicable taxes.
- EWS/SC/ST/PWD Candidates: Rs. 300/- plus applicable taxes.
Selection Process
The selection process consists of two major stages:
- Written Test: An objective type test featuring 125 questions for a duration of 2.5 hours. There is no negative marking. Qualifying marks are 50% for UR/EWS and 45% for reserved categories.
- Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification and interview in a ratio of 1:6 based on their performance in the written test.
