The Sports Authority of India (SAI) is inviting applications from Indian nationals for the post of Performance Analyst. This recruitment aims to strengthen sports science support for athletes across various disciplines including Physiotherapy, Biomechanics, and Nutrition. The selection will be conducted through a Computer-Based Test (CBT).

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Performance Analyst (Physiotherapy): Bachelors’ or Masters’ Degree in Physiotherapy from a recognised university. One year of experience in Sports Physiotherapy is desirable.
  • Performance Analyst (Nutrition): Bachelors’ or Masters’ Degree in Nutrition & Dietetics / Food Science & Nutrition / Sports Nutrition. One year of relevant experience is desirable.
  • Performance Analyst (Strength & Conditioning): Bachelors’ or Masters’ Degree in Strength and Conditioning / Sports Science OR Degree in Physical Education with specified certifications (ACSM, NSCA-CSCS, etc.).
  • Performance Analyst (Psychology): Bachelors’ or Masters’ Degree in Psychology / Clinical Psychology / Applied Psychology / Sports Psychology.
  • Performance Analyst (Physiology): Bachelors’ or Masters’ Degree in Medical Physiology / Human Physiology / Sports and Exercise Physiology.
  • Performance Analyst (Anthropometry): Bachelors’ or Masters’ Degree in Anthropology or Human Biology.
  • Performance Analyst (Biomechanics): Bachelors’ or Masters’ Degree in Biomechanics / Sports Biomechanics / Kinesiology.

Age Limit (as on 10.02.2026)

  • Maximum Age: 30 Years
  • Age relaxation for SC/ST: 5 Years
  • Age relaxation for OBC (NCL): 3 Years
  • Age relaxation for Ex-servicemen and Departmental candidates as per Government of India rules.

Note: The fee is non-refundable and must be paid through online modes such as Net Banking, UPI, or NEFT/RTGS.

Salary and Pay Scale

Selected candidates will be placed in Pay Level-6 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix.

  • Pay Scale: Rs. 35,400/- to Rs. 1,12,400/- per month.
  • Additional Benefits: Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance, Medical Benefits, and Leave as per Central Government rules.

Selection Process

The recruitment will be based on a Computer-Based Test (CBT) lasting 2 hours. The exam consists of 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) with a negative marking of 1/4th mark for every wrong answer.

  • Section A (40 Marks): Basic Sports Science Knowledge and General Sports Awareness.
  • Section B (40 Marks): Discipline-specific Applied Sports Science Knowledge.
  • Section C (20 Marks): Sports-related Case Studies and Analytical passages.

The final merit list will be prepared based strictly on the marks obtained in the CBT.
