Age Limit (Batch-wise)
Candidates must fall within the following birth date ranges to be eligible for the respective batches:
- Batch 01/2027: Candidates must be born between 01 December 2004 and 31 May 2009 (both dates inclusive).
- Batch 02/2027: Candidates must be born between 01 May 2005 and 31 October 2009 (both dates inclusive).
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have passed the Matriculation (10th) Examination with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate from a Board of School Education recognised by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. Candidates appearing for the 10th Board Exam in the academic year 2025-26 are also eligible to apply, provided they meet all other criteria and produce original documents during the selection stages.

Salary & Allowances
Selected Agniveers will receive a monthly salary of ₹30,000 with fixed yearly increments. In addition to the salary, candidates are entitled to risk and hardship allowances, dress allowances, and travel allowances. Upon completion of the 4-year engagement period, candidates will receive the Seva Nidhi package totaling approximately ₹5.02 Lakh (including interest and government contribution).
Selection Process
The recruitment for Indian Navy Agniveer MR consists of two main stages:
- Stage I: Indian Navy Entrance Test (INET) – A computer-based online examination.
- Stage II: Physical Fitness Test (PFT), Written Examination, and Recruitment Medical Examination.
- Final Stage: Merit list preparation and Final Medical at INS Chilka.
