Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification (Passed 2021-2025)
- Graduate Apprentices (Engineering): BE/BTech from an AICTE-recognised university in Civil, Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering (including relevant sub-streams).
- Technician (Diploma) Apprentices: Full-time Diploma from a recognised Board or University in Civil, Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Graduate Apprentices (General Stream): Degree in BA, BSc, BCom, BBA, BMS, BJMC, or BBS from a UGC-recognised university.
Age Limit (As on 01.01.2026)
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 25 Years
- Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC-NCL candidates.
Application Fee
The processing fee must be paid online during the application process. Fees are non-refundable.

Stipend and Allowances
Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend as per the Apprenticeship rules. No lodging or boarding facilities will be provided by KRCL.
- Graduate Apprentices: Rs. 9,000 per month (Total)
- Technician (Diploma) Apprentices: Rs. 8,000 per month (Total)
Selection Process
Selection will be based strictly on merit. There will be no written examination or interview.
- Merit List: Prepared based on the aggregate percentage of marks obtained in all semesters/years of the qualifying degree or diploma.
- Tie-Breaker: In case of equal marks, the older candidate will be preferred. If age is also the same, the candidate who passed the matriculation exam earlier will be ranked higher.
- Document Verification (DV): Shortlisted candidates will be called for physical verification of certificates.
- Medical Examination: Final selection is subject to medical fitness as per KRCL standards.

Important Instructions
- Only Indian Nationals who passed their degree/diploma between 2021 and 2025 are eligible.
- Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training are not eligible to apply.
- Preference will be given to 'Land Losers' (whose land was acquired for the KRCL project) and candidates from the KRCL jurisdiction (districts in Maharashtra, Goa, and Karnataka).
- The apprenticeship is for one year only and does not guarantee permanent employment in Konkan Railway.
