Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Matriculation: Candidates must have passed 10th class under the 10+2 examination system with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from a recognised Board.
- Technical Qualification: Candidates must possess an ITI certificate in the relevant trade issued by the NCVT or SCVT.
Age Limit (As on 23-03-2026)
- Minimum Age: 15 Years
- Maximum Age: 24 Years
Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST Candidates: 5 Years
- OBC Candidates: 3 Years
- Persons with Disabilities (PwBD): 10 Years
- Ex-Servicemen: As per Government rules.

Stipend and Training
Selected candidates will undergo apprenticeship training for a period of one year. During this training period, a monthly stipend will be paid as per the prescribed rates and directives issued by the Railway Board from time to time.
Selection Process
The selection for RRC Western Railway Apprentice 2026 will be based on the following criteria:
- Merit List: The merit list will be prepared by taking the average of the percentage of marks obtained in both Matriculation (with minimum 50% marks) and ITI examination, giving equal weightage to both.
- Tie-Breaking: If marks are identical, the older candidate will be preferred. If the date of birth is also the same, the candidate who passed the Matriculation exam earlier will be considered.
- No Examination: There will be no written test or viva/interview for this recruitment.
- Document Verification: Final selection is subject to successful verification of original documents and medical fitness.
