Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Head Constable (Steward): 12th class pass with a two-year Diploma in Catering and Kitchen Management and one year of work experience.
- Head Constable (Communication): 12th class pass in Science with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics OR a three-year Diploma in Electronics, Communication, Computer Science, or IT.
- Head Constable (Electrician): Matriculation (10th) with two years of work experience in the trade OR one-year ITI certificate with one year experience OR a two-year Diploma in the respective trade.
- Head Constable (Veterinary): 12th class pass with Science and Biology and a two-year Diploma course in Veterinary and Livestock Development or Animal Husbandry.

Age relaxation is applicable as per government rules: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, and additional relaxations for Ex-Servicemen and departmental candidates.

Salary and Allowances
Selected candidates will be placed in Level-4 of the Pay Matrix (₹25,500 to ₹81,100 per month). In addition to the basic pay, candidates are entitled to Dearness Allowance (DA), Ration Money Allowance, House Rent Allowance (HRA), and other admissible allowances as per SSB regulations.
Selection Process
The recruitment process consists of the following stages:
- Stage I: Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Standard Test (PST) - Includes running (1.6 km for males, 800m for females) and measurement of height/chest.
- Stage II: Written Examination (CBT) - A 150-mark common entrance test consisting of General Knowledge, Mathematics, Reasoning, and Technical Subjects.
- Stage III: Skill Test - Applicable only for the Head Constable (Electrician) post.
- Stage IV: Documentation & Medical Examination - Verification of original documents followed by Detailed Medical Examination (DME) and Review Medical Examination (RME).
