Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Senior Scientific Officer: Ph.D. in a relevant discipline OR a Master’s degree in Forensic Psychology, Psychology, or Criminology with 2 to 5 years of research/analysis experience.
- Junior Scientific Officer: Master’s degree in relevant Psychology disciplines, Forensic Science, or Biotechnology/Computer Science (as per post specialization) with 3 years of experience.
- Senior Scientific Assistant (Multimedia Forensics): B.E./B.Tech in CSE/ECE/IT or Master’s in Computer Science/Forensic Science (Physical Sciences).
- Laboratory Assistant: Bachelor’s Degree in Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Microbiology, Forensic Science, Criminology, or Biotechnology from a recognised university.
Age Limit (as on 18-01-2026)
- Senior Scientific Officer: Maximum 40 years.
- Junior Scientific Officer: Maximum 35 years.
- Senior Scientific Assistant: Maximum 30 years.
- Laboratory Assistant: 18 to 27 years (Relaxable for Government servants up to 40 years).
Note: Age relaxation for SC, ST, OBC, PwBD, and Ex-servicemen is applicable as per Government of India norms.

Selection Process
