Educational Qualification
Candidates must satisfy the following educational requirements to be eligible for the GDS posts:
- Secondary School Examination: The candidate must have passed the 10th standard (SSE) with passing marks in Mathematics and English from a recognised Board.
- Local Language: The candidate must have studied the local language of the applied region at least up to the 10th standard as a compulsory or elective subject.
- Other Requirements: Knowledge of cycling, knowledge of computers, and adequate means of livelihood are essential.
- BPM Specific: Candidates for BPM posts must be able to arrange accommodation for the Branch Post Office at their own cost.

Selection Process
The selection is strictly based on merit. No written examination will be conducted for these posts.
- Merit List: Shortlisting will be done based on a system-generated merit list using 10th-standard marks aggregated to four decimal places.
- Tie-Breaking: In case of a tie, priority will be given based on age (older candidates first) and then specific category preferences.
- Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must undergo physical document verification by the respective Divisional Head.
- Final Engagement: Post successful verification and training, the final engagement order will be issued.
