- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 24 Years
- Upper age relaxation is applicable as per government rules: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC-NCL, and up to 10 years for PwBD candidates.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess a regular full-time qualification from a recognised University or Institute. The discipline-wise requirements are:
- Technician Apprentice: 3-year regular Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Civil, Electrical & Electronics, or Electronics Engineering (Minimum 50% marks for General/EWS/OBC; 45% for SC/ST/PwBD).
- Trade Apprentice (ITI): Matric with a 2-year regular ITI course in Fitter, Electrician, Electronics Mechanic, Instrument Mechanic, or Machinist (NCVT/SCVT recognised).
- Graduate Apprentice: Regular Graduate Degree in any discipline (BA, B.Com, B.Sc, BBA) with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD).
- Data Entry Operator (Fresher): Class 12th pass (but below Graduate) with minimum 50% marks.
- Data Entry Operator (Skill Certificate): Class 12th pass plus a Skill Certificate of 'Domestic Data Entry Operator'.

Salary and Allowances
Selected apprentices will receive a monthly stipend as prescribed under the Apprentices Act 1961/1973 and Apprentices Rules 1992/2019/2025 as amended from time to time. The stipend amount varies based on the category of the apprenticeship (Trade, Technician, or Graduate).
Selection Process
The selection will be strictly based on merit. There will be no written test or interview for these positions:
- Merit List: Prepared based on the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying educational examination.
- Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be called for verification of original documents.
- Medical Fitness: Candidates must clear the Pre-Engagement Medical Fitness Test as per IndianOil's standards.

Important Instructions
- Candidates can apply for only ONE discipline code. Multiple applications will be rejected.
- Only full-time regular courses are eligible. Distance learning or part-time qualifications will not be accepted.
- Candidates with higher qualifications like B.E., B.Tech, MBA, CA, or LLB are not eligible.
- Qualification must have been acquired between 01-04-2022 and 28-02-2026 for Graduates/Technicians, and between 01-04-2021 and 28-02-2026 for Trade Apprentices.
- Apprenticeship training is for a duration of 12 months. IOCL is under no obligation to provide permanent employment after completion.
