Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess one of the following qualifications:
- Diploma or equivalent in Coaching from SAI NS-NIS, Patiala, or any recognized Indian/Foreign University.
- OR: Participation in Olympics/Paralympics/Asian Games/World Championship with a Certificate Course in Coaching.
- OR: Being a Dronacharya Awardee.
Age Limit (as on 01-02-2026)
- Maximum Age: 30 Years
- Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST (5 years), OBC (3 years), Ex-Servicemen, and Departmental candidates as per Government of India norms.

Salary and Pay Scale
The selected candidates will be placed in Level 6 of the Pay Matrix.
- Pay Scale: Rs. 35,400 to Rs. 1,12,400/-
- Pay Band: Pay Band-II (Rs. 9,300-34,800 + Grade Pay Rs. 4,200)
Selection Process
The recruitment process consists of two major stages:
- Computer Based Test (CBT): A 2-hour online exam with 100 MCQs (Sports Knowledge: 65, Sports Science: 25, General Awareness/Reasoning/Aptitude: 10). There is a negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong answer.
- Coaching Ability Test (CAT): Shortlisted candidates (1:3 ratio) will undergo a practical coaching assessment.
The final merit list will be prepared with a weightage of 40% for CBT and 60% for CAT.
